Angelique Monet has been writing poetry since she was eight years old. It is her most favorite way of communicating her thoughts and emotions. When she sits down to write, poetry flows through her fingers. It’s never forced or without reason. She writes heartwarming tales filled with meaningful adventures, strong characters, and undeniable humor. She is a passionate writer and writes real issues. Life is a hard thing to figure out especially as a child. Her stories take them on exciting journeys that build their self-image, self-esteem, self-respect, and self-confidence.
Becoming an artist happened later in her life. Angelique love's all things art but color is what really moves her. Color is the music and emotion of a piece of art. She has always known that she could draw what she saw but drawing what was in the artist mind was a different story. Angelique thinks that artists are critical of their work and sometimes stand in their own way. Once she realized this, something magical happened…she freed myself. She began painting things from her mind that before she never dreamed she could do. Being an artist is truly a gift and Angelique wants to share that with the world.
Angelique is married to a wonderfully supportive and creative husband. He is the creator of two successful iOS apps, Arabiah and Super Dragon. Both which went to number one in over twenty countries. Sometimes in need of inspiration she will lean on him for his creative genius. They are so in sync
with their artistic visions that they
blend as easily as paint. She truly appreciates having him there everyday cheering her on and pushing her outside her comfort zone.
They have two daughters who are amazing little artists who write, draw and film. The artistic abilities they possess at their young ages just blow Angelique away! Her daughters will go through a ream of paper in no time, fill sketch book after sketch book, and make movies that are suspenseful, funny and fun. Their home is filled with art and love…and it is her favorite place to be!
Angelique uses photoshop to paint all her illustrations for The Bravest Worrier.
Below she is using a Wacom Cintiq.
